The Chester County Bar Association is the only bar association in the state with this unique, award winning program. This program provides free legal services for the working poor who don't qualify for Legal Aid services; however do not earn enough to afford an attorney.
To see if you qualify for this program:
Call the Legal Aid Intake Unit at 1.877.429.5994 (Monday – Friday 9 a.m. -1 p.m.)
ABOUT THE ACCESS TO JUSTICE PROGRAM:
The Access to Justice Program provides free legal services to Chester County residents when their income is too high to qualify for Legal Aid, their case cannot be handled by Legal Aid or their case presents a conflict for Legal Aid.
Individuals must financially qualify for services, but the guidelines are higher than the requirements for Legal Aid. If you qualify, you will be referred to a local attorney who specializes in the area of law in which you are seeking assistance. Your case will be handled free of charge.
Cases accepted include:
Simple Wills, Power of Attorney, Living Wills, Bankruptcy, Landlord-Tenant, Elder Law, Custody and Visitation, No Asset Divorce, Small Estates and miscellaneous cases at the discretion of the program.
